Adrian Fahey

Managing Director

Adrian’s history with SAGE spans over 25 years, during which time he has been instrumental in the growth of the business from a South Australian business, to a national and now a global business. 

Adrian has led the SAGE Group’s transformation strategy to now span the services of industrial automation, digitisation and data analytics, resource management and skills development. 

Adrian holds multiple Board and Council positions in industry, both domestically and internationally, including the Global Control System Integrator’s Association (CSIA).

Chief Operating Officer
Adrian is Chief Operating Officer of SAGE Group. Adrian brings strategic thinking to our team and our clients, drawing on 25 years of managing large-scale industrial and defence service contracts and projects. Adrian enjoys implementing innovative contractual and commercial solutions and brings a wealth of experience to his role.

Dion Draper

Chief Financial Officer

Dion is responsible for all the financial and administration requirements of the SAGE Group, ensuring the Group has the financial resources to execute its strategic priorities. Dion and his team work tirelessly to provide a sound business from which our clients, suppliers and our people can depend upon. With over 25 years’ experience as a finance professional, he is well equipped to oversee finance processes, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and group performance.

Paul Walker

Chief Strategy Officer

Paul is a business executive demonstrating strong leadership, commercial and business development expertise.

With more than 20 years’ experience in business operations and strategy, Paul has worked across a number of sectors, including resources, infrastructure, energy, food and beverage and manufacturing.

Lesley Marchioro

Group Executive – People and Culture

Lesley joined the SAGE Group executive team in 2020 with a diverse background in senior and executive positions across people and culture, customer, and digital. Lesley has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategies which focus on enabling SAGE’s people to create a collaborative, inclusive and high performing workplace that continually evolves. 

Lesley is a Fellow of the Governors Leadership Foundation Program, has an MBA from University of South Australia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Lesley is also on the South Australian Chair of the Committee for the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO).

Rachel Fahey

Group Executive – Marketing and Communications

Rachael’s unique approach to customer engagement, advocacy and brand differentiation was developed early in her career, leading sales and marketing for a number of premium hotel brands. Joining SAGE in 2009, Rachael has established a strong marketing capability, supporting the company’s broad diversification and uniquely positioning SAGE in its markets. This includes establishing four new company brands, integration of four business acquisitions and international expansion, during which the business doubled its employees and tripled its revenue. As a member of the SAGE Group Executive Team, Rachael leverages analytical rigour and a creative approach to ensuring customer value is maximised and business growth continues.

Emma Christie

Group Executive – General Counsel

Emma Joined SAGE Group in 2016, bringing with her a wealth of legal expertise acquired from both private practice in Adelaide and Sydney and in-house roles within the rail and oil and gas sectors. Over the past 8 years, Emma has played a pivotal role in navigating the company through periods of substantial growth and transition, providing invaluable legal counsel on a diverse range of issues. Her contributions include facilitating business acquisitions, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, and negotiating significant contracts. Emma is esteemed for her ability to offer pragmatic and commercially astute legal guidance tailored to the specific needs of SAGE. Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Jurisprudence) from the University of Adelaide.

Jason Taylor

Group Executive – Information Technology

Jason is energised by applying technology to drive business outcomes including strategic enablement, employee engagement, customer experience, safety and security. His 30 years’ experience within the industrial automation sector provides deep knowledge that ensures he understands what SAGE’s customers need. A lifelong learner that thrives as part of a team, Jason enjoys navigating new ways of working and building a team culture that embraces change with an agile mindset, underpinned by continuous learning, improvement and experimentation.

Justin Kahl

Executive General Manager – SAGE Automation

As Executive General Manager, Justin is directly responsible for overseeing all facets of operations for SAGE Automation and fostering strong relationships with senior executives of SAGE’s major clients. Justin’s leadership is underpinned by a solid technical background, drawing upon over 29 years of experience in the electrical automation industry. His ability to embrace emerging market opportunities is reflected in his track record for delivering sustainable, profitable growth, combined with his passion for the business and clients.

Rajesh Jagadale

Managing Director – SAGE Automation India

Rajesh’s journey with SAGE began over 18 years ago after he completed his Master’s in Electrical Engineering in Australia. He conceptualised and established the Global Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India. Today, Rajesh leads a team of engineers who provide critical design and engineering services to global customers. Under his leadership, SAGE India has also positioned itself as a go-to player in the domestic market for customers seeking global expertise in automation solutions. Rajesh is committed to creating a happy and fulfilling workplace for employees while scaling up SAGE’s business in India and the Middle East.

Alec Konyenburg

Executive General Manager – Nukon

Alec leads the talented Nukon team who take a data-driven approach to operational technology transformation. Alec and his team enable their clients by providing a complete whole-of-business view: from operations right through to IT, the shop floor, engineering and beyond.

Laura Mabikafola

Executive General Manager – Skills Lab & Embedded Expertise

Laura brings to the SAGE Group 22 years in the people industry, leading significant human resources and recruitment businesses. Laura knows that the right people, with the right skills in the right roles, can truly transform a business and loves nothing more than tailoring a learning solution outcome to a specific business challenge.

James Balzary

Co-Founder and CEO of TilliT

As CEO of Tillit, James’ background combines strategic management and technical expertise in global software technology environments with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. He is proven in management, strategy, transformation, technical consulting, business development, marketing, and channel/partner management. James has driven regional and global expansion in three of the world’s largest industrial technology companies, including Schneider Electric, ABB, and Dassault Systèmes. Recently, his AI tech company, Ailytic, was acquired by SAGE Group to accelerate TilliT’s global expansion. James holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours from James Cook University, North Queensland, and mentors’ businesses in digital transformation.
