Cyber Security Road Map

As a leader in industrial automation and digitalisation, SAGE Group is uniquely positioned to deliver cyber security strategy and implementation solutions underpinned by our decades of experience in operational technology. Cyber security is a complex challenge encompassing people, processes, and technology. Often, the balance between acceptable cyber risk and the cost of remediation is hard to navigate. Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments have increasingly become interconnected, enabling business efficiencies but also increasing cyber incidents. At SAGE Group, we fully understand the risks and challenges you face in protecting your OT assets against cyber-attacks. We embed cyber resilience into the projects and solutions we deliver across multiple industry sectors, ensuring robust protection for your digitalised and automated operational assets.

SAGE Group has achieved ISO-27001:2022 certification, reinforcing our commitment to superior information security management and adding to our robust suite of existing certifications in health, safety, environment, and quality. This certification demonstrates our dedication to providing the highest standard of information security and industrial digitalisation solutions possible, giving our customers and partners peace of mind in an era of rising cyber-related incidents and new regulatory obligations.

MILESTONE 1

Build an asset register

1. Decide on a tool or tools that can provide any hardware, firmware and software identification in the OT network.

2. Install tool on network via span ports to passively scan network (SAGE recommends Lansweeper and some other ‘soft’ scanning products for software identification on OT devices. This should be combined with other products such as Tenable OT, Claroty or Nozomi to get full asset data.

3. Physical asset walk around:

  • Evaluate locations of assets and security of locations
  • Interrogate assets for hardware, firmware and software revisions
    of any code
  • Collate data and provide synopsis.
  • Evaluate findings against your existing data, ie registers, documents.
